2022 Gamecock Football (Personal)

In my fourth season running @GamecocksToday on Twitter and Instagram,  I saw growth and engagement like never before as I watched my initial visions for the account come to life. From the designing front, I felt much more confident, consistent, and organized in my work this season; I even designed my own logo using Adobe Illustrator for the first time. I most definitely found that 2022 was my favorite year of running Gamecocks Today, especially because of the successes seen by the South Carolina football team.

All of the work that you will see below was created in my free time for my own personal enjoyment and practice. I greatly enjoyed and appreciated using the media day pictures provided to me by the creative media team at the University of South Carolina, alongside the numerous opportunities they provided me with to come in to the football facility.

Thank you for a fantastic 2022, enjoy what you see! Give me any feedback you may have, thanks!

The edits below were made as infographics for every Saturday morning of the season, displaying the opponent's logo, the time of the game, and the game's location, and a different player every week. The background was garnet for home games and white for away games, in line with the jersey color of each game.
Posters have become a tradition of mine that are looked forward to by followers every Saturday following the previous infographics. I design a certain poster for every game, each reflecting a different theme. Posters can be reflective of the opponent mascot, the time of year, location of the game, or the circumstance the team finds itself in.
The work below was made throughout 2022. Some of these edits were posted while others weren't.
This year, I was surprised to find that I had become known for my jersey swaps across gamecock social media after the receiving of many requests for different swaps. I felt that this year I had vastly improved my skills, and that I may have even assisted  in various recruiting pushes for different players across social media. These swaps were intended to be early looks at transfer players if they were to become Gamecocks.
In December, I decided that it was time to create a logo of my own. Though I had little experience in Adobe Illustrator,  I created a new identity for my account. I was able to use an image of South Carolina's beloved mascot, Cocky, to form a watermark of my design that I could call my own creation (in contrast to my previous university-copyrighted logo).
